The official Valentine's Day (sucks?) thread

Since I'm on a college campus AND with no car, I'm limited to walking to Giant to pick up some roses and chocolate (my girlfriend's the type that likes flowers on occasions and it's been a while since I've done it) plus I'll treat her to dinner kinda like I always do. I'll probably play her this mixtape I put together and tell her that I ordered a gift that wont get here today, but other than that it's gonna be a normal day.

For the single people (and those coupled up too), you guys should jam out to these Valentine's related songs. (Which is like half of the mixtape I mentioned.

Valentine's day is dumb. I tell my wife every morning and evening that I love her. I surprise her with flowers once every couple weeks. I take her out to dinner and out to bars a lot. We never stay home because of money, but good lord valentine's day is dumb.

I've never understood the hate for valentines day. If I was single I wouldn't give a crap. Actually, tonight is student night, so I'd be in town getting pissed with friends and dancing the night away.

Though as I'm not single, I'll do the usual. Yeah everyone knows it's a bullshit holiday, and yes I tell my girlfriend every day that I love her..but any excuse to spoil her is nice. Bought her a giant Eyore which she spotted a while back, couple of charms for her bracelet, a nice bouquet of flowers, a nice card, and a me to you bear (standard gift for her).

It's also my moms birthday, but she's off in the lake district so she'll get her present when she gets back.

Edit: totally gonna play some cod and gh too.

I'm going to go to devpsych, hand in a paper, go to calc, be lectured to for an hour and forty minutes (extra long classes suck), go to tennis, see the girl who I liked until I found out I was completely and utterly friendzoned with her (and this BEFORE finding out that she was [and still is] in a relationship), play tennis, go home, play either Reach or some CoD game, then go to bed.

Oh, there's some Hallmark holiday today? Huh. Who knew.

Couldn't give a toss about valentines day really...its just another way for companies to rake in the cash (in a lame way if I'm honest) even though I got valentines cards haha.

Though I have a girlfriend, I will not be seeing her, and will instead be passionately watching the Canucks game. I don't see why everyone complains about Valentine's Day though. You don't have to buy a card, you can make one for free. Plus making them gives you so many more options, I wrote my girlfriend a poem where the first letter of each line spells something.

The gf and I celebrated on Saturday.

We exchanged gifts, I got her rock band 3 and a mic, she loves singing, and she got me an X11 Turtle Beach headset.

We spent the day at the arcade playing pinball, DDR, and marvel vs capcom 2.

Then sunday we went to another place and played more pinball.

Today I work till 6 and she lives an hour away, so we're watching a movie together over netflix tonight.

It's my 21st birthday today, but I'm basically by myself until late tonight because all my friends and roommates are out with their girlfriends doing shit the don't feel like doing and spending way too much money on them in hopes that they get lucky tonight.

I'm finishing up some Genetics homework before my class at 5pm and then maybe look over some stuff before my Stats class tomorrow. My roommates did promise me that we'd celebrate much later tonight with some brews, so I'm looking forward to that. Kinda shitty having a 21st birthday on a Monday though because Monday and Tuesday are my two busy days so I'll have to wait a little bit until I legally get drunk for the first time
