I got bored and started charting All The Heavy Lifting by Mastodon.

This is totally a drum song, not a guitar one. Also it's awesome fun. On drums. Boring on guitar though

EDIT: Almost done already, just need to do the outro... which involves slowdown, thus making it annoying, thus I don't want to do it yet

Plus it's not very interesting on any instrument either, all the fun parts are done on drums.
Also the song is a blast to play

Song Name: AllTheHeavyLiftin
Charting Name: Freeze Berriez
Console: 360
Video: http://youtu.be/6rYaaqrAuGU
Game: GHWoR

Guitar: 6/10
I guess there's some strumming but really it's pretty boring.

Bass: 4/10
Looool there's one strummy bit and that's it.

Drums: 9/10
The rhythm is pretty complex, lots of ghost snares. Oh and tons of rolls. TONS of rolls. Yaaay.

Did this one mostly for drums. Am probably going to do another song from this album soon, as well.

Song Name: Blasteroid
Charting Name: Freeze Berriez
Console: 360
Video: http://youtu.be/F_9xi6BcvuU
Game: GHWoR

Guitar: 5/10
Well there are lots of HOPOs I guess but they're not worth mentioning

Bass: 3/10
I guess you have to strum some notes sometimes?

Drums: 9/10
I was going to rate this lower until I played it. Holy hell is it tiring. I sure hope you can hit 13 NPS rolls because they're freaking everywhere.

Depends on the song. I guess you could say roughly an hour for the average minute of music? Sometimes it's longer, sometimes it's quicker. Shred songs usually lean towards longer.

well the other day I was making a simple cover song and it took me 2 hours to make about 2 minutes of the song. Is there a certain way of doing it or do you just look at tabs and translate them into the game? Thats how I was doing it. Could someone shed some light please?

Hey it's been awhile since I've done this is this a good enough return?

Song: White Walls Pt 1
Charter: YksiKaksiKolme
Console: 360
Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0aVTWgmibRs
Difficulties/Comments:
  • Guitar: 7/10 fast strumming at the start, some riffing, a fun HOPO part near the beginning, then some tricky chords and a little mini-solo.
  • Bass: 6/10 Mostly sticks to 8th notes, though it does get faster. Very melodic bass so the notes are spread out all over.
  • Drums: 10/10 lol

Song: White Walls Pt 2
Charter: YksiKaksiKolme
Console: 360
Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0aVTWgmibRs
Difficulties/Comments:
  • Guitar: 6/10 This part has the huge clean breakdown which is all 8th notes, a little solo part, and some crazy chord riffs with mini solos throughout. Probably the easiest part.
  • Bass: 4/10 The first riff is awesome. Anyway it's not too tough, mostly the same principle as part 1 but the clean breakdown has only long sustains then a big rest on bass.
  • Drums: 10/10 lol it's even hard during the clean part

Song: White Walls Pt 3
Charter: YksiKaksiKolme
Console: 360
Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0aVTWgmibRs
Difficulties/Comments:
  • Guitar: 6/10 Holy fuck here we go solo time. This solo isn't too tough but OMG IT SOUNDS FUCKING AWESOME. Doesn't get faster than 16th notes except for a few random slides/bends. Still decently challenging. Also the piano at the end is charted on guitar using a Light Drive POD, so you have to play that. It's nothing crazy though.
  • Bass: 5/10 Basically the same thing as Part 1 except shorter.
  • Drums: 9/10 OK, they do kinda calm down for this part of the song. Still fucking tough.

Wooo

Well, I got a working copy of WOR again. However, my computer is shot (I'm using my Wiii for this). So, I'll need to get that fixed before any customs will be made. I want to FINALLY get the setlist active again with my Zappa custom that was put on ice after my first WOR disc died.

Also, I forgot to mention that Parama's Dance Of Eternity custom is AWESOME!!!! It may replace TDEK in my finished setlist. Also, Guardian Angel is a fun chart that I may just put as I've kind of started to like Al Di Meola lately.

Song Name: CassandraGemini1
Charting Name: Freeze Berriez
Console: 360
Video: Later
Game: GHWoR

Guitar: 7/10
The first 40 seconds are the hardest part, hopo lick with short solos in-between. The rest is pretty tame, some fast chord strumming and another brief solo... this is one of the easier parts of the song overall.

Bass: 3/10
Well there's notes. Fairly easy.

Drums: 9/10
The main beat for the main portion of the song is tiring as hell, coming from someone who played the song and had to pause in the middle to take a break <.>
It's not that *hard* and a bit repetitive but it's tiring.

Part 1 of however many I need to make. There's 8 tracks on the disc but the last two are short as hell and probably going to be added to the 6th part, so I guess this will be 6 parts?
