I'm starting to pick up drumming a bit more and now I play on hard. My GH drumkit recently broke. The orange cymbal just won't respond anymore. I want to buy a rock band one now because the GH one blows, but I don't know if I should buy a RB1 or RB2 one. I know the RB1 pads are harder and louder, but the RB2 ones can sometimes overhit (ie- hit one pad hard enough, the one next to it hits too). And I'm not getting ions or any other high dollar ones. Plz tell me which of these two you would recommend.

RB 2 one comes with a better (metal) pedal, has better rebound, and it doesn't break as fast/often as the RB1 does.

And as you mentioned, it's not as loud.

I'd say go for the RB2 one if money is not an issue.

Definitely a RB2 kit - quieter, more sensitive, velocity sensitive, cymbal expansions, metal-reinforced pedal, wireless etc. Also, if you decide to upgrade to goodwoods/metalworks at some point, they usually work better on a RB2 base.

I actually tried the Band Hero kit today and I gotta say, it's a pretty sweet stock kit. It feels like a proper kit, rebounds like a real kit and the cymbals are awesome. The pedal feels more stronger than its predecessor, and if I didn't have my kit I have now, I would so buy the Band Hero kit.

are band hero kits still only on wii or are they out on 360 now?

and yea, my orange messed up too but i just bought a single goodwood cymbal to replace it and everything is fine now, i prefer having cymbals to having only 4 pads for everything but thats just my taste.
