So It looks like the new Guitar Hero is called Guitar Hero Live, I guess I can't wait to see what it has.

Info from Videogammer
Details on the next Guitar Hero game appear to have leaked ahead of its official reveal later today.
As reported by Lemonde.fr (and syndicated by Yahoo France), the new game is allegedly called Guitar Hero LIVE and is in development at DJ Hero studio FreeStyleGames. It will also feature a new first-person viewpoint, the report claims.
VideoGamer.com has contacted Activision for comment. |

So they're gonna put VR in it, right?
That sounds... kinda neat? It's a much better interpretation of "real" than The Rocksmith Approach, at least. I hope.
Like Greg said though that's not what any of us actually want to hear about
Also, your second link is broken buddy _________________

According to the report the controller will be completely different to previous games. Apparently it'll have six black and white notes divided into two rows of three.
Looks like SH is going to have to update its note emoticons... |

I think I actually would've preferred that tbh _________________

Someone on NeoGAF has done a pretty solid mockup of what the new guitar might look like

I'm going to try to keep an open mind... I really am not too jazzed about a new controller to learn, however the DJ Hero games were so excellent I have some faith in FreeStyleGames to actually do a good job with something like this. A lot of people probably thought DJ Hero looked stupid when it was announced so I'll stay cautiously optimistic about this for the time being.
Also, the fact that this game has a first person view makes me think it's going back to guitar only. If that's the case, it definitely sets itself apart from Rock Band and Rocksmith. If they incorporate VR into it in some way it has the potential to be kind of cool. The spirit of the games all along has been about pretending to be a virtual rockstar, so a first person view and perhaps VR capability seems like a logical next step. Hopefully we get more information later today. _________________

Oh god I really hope that FMV is just a placeholder in the beta build.
GH: Sega CD
The guitar looks good at least??
This though:
Quote: | The mobile version of Guitar Hero Live claims to deliver the full console experience to select devices, allowing players to play along wherever they have their device. |
Is worrying. If your "full console experience" can be accomplished on an iPhone, that's a huge red flag. Hoping this is just corporate bullshiting. _________________

Sounds good to me. This could be really challenging and awesome as well as really weird. It looks like HO/PO's will have a slight blur at the bottom of the note from what I can see in the screenshots. I just hope that the frets don't feel too clackity. The rendering of that guitar makes me think it's similar to six small stratocaster frets _________________

I want to see how something as difficult as TTFAF maps to the new highway. The three button thing is really worrying me. |
