Here is a link to my evenly-spaced blank chart with the SPs outlined in green:

For the third activation, it's worth more points if you whammy everything, activate when the solo starts, and overlap the SP. It's weird, but if you study the path, it makes sense. |
I didn't study this indepth or anything, but by just looking, I think the original path is better, because of the 3 sp phrases going into the last solo, but I may be wrong... _________________

That second to last activation is just horrible, though. It's definitely better to run over the next phrase and have 2 at the end. _________________

there seems to be some sort of glitch in the chart or something. at the beginning of measure 63 (right after the sp in solo1) it goes BOBBBBB but that is on neither debr or cyclone's chart (one has BO, one has BOBB). just pointing out! |

I know this path is probably far from optimal, but can anyone give me a ballpark figure on how many points I'm losing using this path?
My path: 2-2-S1-2-2
1st: 2 at top of Meas. 24 until end of Meas. 29
2nd: 3rd beat of Meas. 43 until 3rd beat of Meas. 30 (runs over 5th SP)
3rd: Top of Meas. 63 until bottom of Meas. 66 (NO WHAMMY ON PREVIOUS SP)
4th: Top of Meas. 75 until... Somewhere in Meas. 81 (3rd beat?)
I've been working on a FC for this song for the last day or two after almost nailing the solos in practice and figured I'd use my own SP path until I started getting runs where I'd only screw up on the strummy part in Solo 2C, but I'm still way off in pointage (at least, as far as I know--I usually pause, tear my hair out, and restart after destroying myself at the top of 2C). I thought I'd throw my path in for comparison and see how it measures up against the current "optimal"s. _________________

If you move the first activation up one chord you can get 400+ extra points. Its a fairly easy squeeze and you can get lots of ticks.
Edit: you can move it up at least another chord, possibly two if you're Lo7
