i just tried to nail that first sp for 45 min and i messed up everytime.. it get so frusterating. omg. i am stuck at 112k this sucks.. thanks for the advice if i could only use it and do it right it would be nice

I really don't think this song is very hard, so I simply cannot understand why I have not 5 starred it.

I am at about 130,000 and can a ton of notes in the song, the only places I really suffer are:

1) The dreaded first SP.
2) The yellow/blue switchoffs before vocals kick in.
3) Fast orange notes (though I can get most of them.)

What am I doing wrong? I'm usually 92, 93 percent..

You need to hit the first SP. Otherwise, you can't use the optimal path. Just replay this song until you can consistently hit that part and you'll find the 5-star in no time.

Don't really worry too much about the YB super fast HO's. I've never hit those before and I've 5-starred this on Hard and Expert. Same goes for the fast O's. I've hit those before, but they don't really do much. The SP you get from that only really helps by giving you some notes in the end a point boost, and if you time it right, you won't really need the boost too much anyways.

Soooo close...I hit the first SP AND hit the OSSOD...but still no 5*. Messed up a few easy parts and missed the last SP. If I could just keep a combo at the end of the song, I'd be OK.

Darn job getting in the way of me and 5 starring this... Mr. Green

Seriously, is there a trick to hitting the first SP? If I didn't have to restart 20 times to just make a run at this song once, I'd have 5 starred it by now.

After attempting to get 5 stars for the umpteenth time on this song, I finally did it, and without the first SP.

Has anyone 5-starred this song without the first SP? Granted, I barely broke the cutoff (146,252), but I was just happy with finally achieving Guitar God on Hard...Texas Flood was my last one.

Now if i could just get the last 6 on Expert...sigh. Some of you guys are just too good.

Thank you so much for SP path. Took a long time (2 sessions of solid practice) but with that as a model i was able to finally practice enough (and stay motivated enough) to 5* this.

I'm stuck at 133k, but after reading through this thread I'm glad to see that my biggest obstacle is consistently hitting the first SP phrase. I believe I've only hit it twice, and each time I did, I made dumb mistakes (I also never really bothered trying to figure out the optimal SP path...normally it's not my thing to do so but looks like I need it to get 5* on this). I watched Ech's 221k video and breathed a big sigh of relief, because he messes up in the same places I tend to all the time, and I can hit most of the parts he hits, just not all in one run (the one exception being the OSSOD, I still suck at that). I think I'll have this one soon.

*edit* FUCK YES! 154K! AT 4:45 IN THE MORNING! Now I'm just some bonus songs away from being a Guitar God on Hard.

Thanks for the SP tips guys.

...Oh shit, I dread coming back to this song on Expert eventually. >_<

Is there a different path that you would use if you were going for score instead of just 5 stars? I feel like I've had some decent runs and I can't get higher than ~190k.

what's the deal with that first sp? I know i have improved so much at this game in general, but i still am hopeless at hitting that. i come back to it every few days after i have obliterated my high scores on almost every other song...and then..bam ...brick wall...sigh...i wish there was a practice mode....ok..i know that wasnt constructive, but i had to vent.
