Has anyone 5-starred this song without using alternate picking? I swear I can do this but everytime i get to the six green notes in a row my hand just gives out on me on the last one and i can't get the streak going. I would just do alternate picking but I have problems in areas where i need to both move my left hand on the frets and alter the tempo in my alternate strumming (I know, I suck). Oh well, back to practicing. _________________

Ya I've done it...for the most part...the only time I alternate pick in the song is the fast part after the main riff where it goes GGBGGGRGGGYGGGBGGG... |

Well I did end up getting the five star. I only alternate picked that one part (the part with 6? green notes in a row) and then switched back to regular for the rest of the song. After that, the only thing that was holding me back was how tired my hands would get. _________________

Wow I can't imagine playing this with straight down picking. I don't even alternate pick that much but I've gotten good at it for this song.
Is there a good SP path out there so I can 5 star this bad boy? |

Is there any trick to nailing that fast GGRGGYGGB... part? All I get is a few correct notes and a bunch of bleeps.
I've got most of the solos down, it's just this part and the part where Ozzy sings "Bark at the Moon". |

Nice job. Feels good, doesn't it?
There's not really a trick to nailing that GGBGGRGGYGGB... part. You just have to work the timing out and make sure you're hitting all the notes (alternate strumming is a must here). You've heard it before and you'll hear it again. You just need to practice. But you don't even really need that part perfect every time. I can get over 300000 points nailing that part only 50% of the time. So master the easier parts instead if you choose. It works for me. _________________

Man this song keeps getting easier. I played it at my friends today on his career and got 225,000. It seems so hard to 5* until it finally happens and you realize it was no big deal. |

I think it's much easier to hit that part if you know what it's supposed to sound like in the first place.

obviously keep your finger on green during the whole thing, and the numbers hit on the downbeats so if you can figure it out from there maybe... |
