Aren't acronyms getting a little out of hand? I mean, it was convenient when GH1 and 2 were out, but 3 brought along more and confusing acronyms with it. I just counted that there were more or less 200 acronyms on the front page, not including the GHA or GH:OT acronyms (I also didn't count things like FC and SP that relate directly to GH, only songs). Not only that, but GH4 is coming out soon with another 70 or so songs and DLC, and on the RB side there's already 235+ songs to know PLUS another 80+DLC coming in september. That's close to if not 500 acronyms to know.
It just seems like the convenience of these acronyms has gone down the pot and they are more of a hassle of having to look up every acronym I see. |

Just one thing: I dunno about GH1 since I only have 2 and 3, but I got the Battle Axe when I completed career on expert in GH2.
Oh, and great list. It must have taken a while to put all of those together.

The Red Snake-The nickname given to the first part of the section "So Far Away III" in Through the Fire and Flames on Expert. Considered the hardest single part in a song. A very fast zig zag of notes at over 20 NPS, which makes it look like a red snake.

anyway, what i came here to ask is what does IIRC mean? it probably doesn't have anything to do with guitar hero, i just see it alot.

This means the person redid a song with a better path or just more skill and got a higher score. I'm sure there are 2 words that people put together to make "redux", but it's just like "redo for more points".

It stands for Green Grass and High Tides in Rock Band. It's pretty much known as the hardest guitar song in Rock Band and that's also why it's not in this thread: it's in Rock Band, not Guitar Hero.

Not to try and say you're wrong...but your definitions are a little difficult to understand.
Optimal score means highest score possible on a song. It is not possible to get higher than the "Optimal Score" on a song. You could call it a "perfect score"...but that doesn't exactly explain it too well.
Optimal squeezing is squeezing in a song to get the optimal score, which is pretty self-explanatory as long as you know what squeezing is. Click the link in my signature (the thing right below this paragraph) if you want to learn about squeezing.
