Star Power Strategy
Here is my current strategy, I know it can be much improved because i see people with scores well above me who can't 100% the song either.
Key
A - get these two star powers and activate immediately
B - whammy this note all the way, then activate right before the first G-Y chord
C - whammy these but only fill the bar about 3/4 full so you can pick up the first SP for the next set
D - get all three of these, activate it ? (still can't figure out where this would be ideally, I know the first SP labeled "E" is definitely redundant)
E - probably want to skip the first "E", then get the second one and whammy all the way on the held note -- full SP then activate it before the first G-Y chord
F - ignore
also note i can't consistently hit the "hard parts" of this song (the YBYR hammer-on, etc.) _________________

(I edited your post making the image a link since it was rather large, feel free to reduce the size and repost it as an image)
However, it seems your main flaw is C.
On the first hold (the BO chord), you can whammy it for it's full duration (7.5 beats) which is exactly enough to give you half a meter, which you can use as an extra activation. _________________

Are you certain, from the note chart it looks like the note is just short of 7.5 beats, and I've tried it several times (trying to hit the note early, too) without success. _________________

You need to hit it a little bit early and start whammying as soon as you hit it. Charts like that are a pain and I tend to avoid that after giving it a few tries. _________________

It is 7.5, the chart just glitched slightly when wrapping it around the line break. _________________

I've finally got my 100% on this song...and I thought I played it perfectly. Obivously, I'm a couple thousand points short of the top score.
How do I get there? I assume it's gotta involve some weird alternative Star Power strategy...when do I hit it? How I keep myself from having a useless quarter-meter at the end of the song? |

Make sure you're getting the half bar and using it from the 7.5 beat note.

You don't. Actually, I think if you use your last full bar about where that extra SP is, you get an extra note or two. _________________

So, if I do the perfect SP strategy, how many activations are there in the song? |

I guess I'm going to need it spelled out for me...
Where exactly are the six, and how full it the SP meter when you activate it? |

Me too.
I totally forgot about the guy who was asking about the SP...
I'm too lazy to draw a chart at the moment, so..
1. 2 SPs in the beginning verse.
2. Long red in the chorus
3. Blue/orange SP in the next verse (the hard to whammy one)
4. Long red in the chorus
5. Full bar in the verse / bridge
6. Long red (and previous SP for full bar) in last chorus. |
