The following strategy is optimal. A quick summary:

1) Get the first three SP groups without whammying and activate where indicated so that the SP runs out just prior to the next SP group
2) Get the next two SP groups and whammy as much extra SP as possible and use where indicated
3) Get the next three SP groups with whammy and use where indicated
4) Get the next three SP groups and whammy as much SP as possible. Save the SP until the end measures of the song which have the highest point density as indicated

If that is optimal, how come the guy in first has 10,000 more points than you.

Because he's full of crap. That is one reason I'm posting this. Echelar was able to get about 141900 on the song. Can you find another 8500 points? I dont think so.

is a squeeze on the second activation even possible? i got ridiculously close 500 times, then on a run when i missed it, i tied the "optimal" score i think theres 400 more points out there, but that squeeze is incredibly difficult.

Don't even bother attempting to squeeze on the second activation, it's completely unnecessary. Just activate your SP 1/2-1/4 beat before the first GY chord and you'll have no problem getting those chords in under SP at the end of the activation. You lose the GR chord but you gain a GY chord right back at the end. So yeah, points are the same, I just verified that with a 142,419 run right now. No need to work so hard!

EDIT: I now realize what squeeze you're talking about. I am feeling like it's impossible after doing the math with the SP, but I'm not the best whammy-er in town to test that type of thing out effectively. I'm thinking 'no' until someone proves me wrong.

i was squeezing after the second gr chord, and coming within literally 100ths of a second short of getting both GY chords, which would be 400 more points but i dont think its doable, because i was hitting them pretty much as well as i possibly could, and i was even hitting the whammy notes early for just that extra little bit., but w/e ill take a tie for first

Tie for 2nd now. :P You guys have spent so much time trying to get the chord squeeze that you're forgetting about just activating in the middle of the last chord hold during that sp phrase to get extra hold points. Squeezing in that last blue note under sp in the last activation seems like it would be a lot easier than attempting the other squeeze, but I guess the game doesn't let you hit a note section greater than 8 measures regardless of how late you activate and early you hit the last note, because I can't seem to get it.

Move activation 2 up to the YB chord hold in measure 27 a little before the and of beat 4. It doesn't look like much, but I got an extra 60 points from it, and I'm sure a couple more ticks are possible.

I have a feeling that the chord squeeze on the 2nd activation is possible now, just hard as hell. I've been able to consistently get 1/4 beat of extra whammy/note on other songs and that's exactly enough to pull if off if I do it perfectly. I'll keep going for it now that I maxed out squeezing the hold ticks, I think.

Edit: Got it!!! Optimal score of 142,819. I am Squeeze Master.
