The note chart has a tiny error on the last note. Its not a single G note, its a GB chord.

I know most people wouldn't actually need a path chart for this song, but I wanted my first one i make to be on such a song, so I don't give away one of my better song paths :P

Heart Shaped Box - Hard SP

Anyway, I do have a question for the people who are into making htese. I used Paint, and this took me a ridiculous amount of time, because I had to use the fill option for every tiny box within the staff lines, and I couldn't get it to fill in the rectangle I drew unless it completely covered up that oart of the chart. I took off "Draw Opaque" and it changed nothing, and I have the background olor set to the same blue I used for the boxes on this one. ANy help?

Second question, how do you get the chart to resize itself like that? I can hardly get it to be any larger through photobucket.

I think you're getting fancier than you need in the charts my friend. I use paint as well and if you know where you want to put the activations it only takes a minute or two. Coloring in where the SP phrases looks nice but a simple 12 point number above the gray line works too. Just drawing a black or colored rectangle around the activation area gets the point across as well. The colored in part doesn't help me anymore than a box.

It's cool to post the pathes though. I always make my own but will look at what other higher scorers do and can usually tweak a starting point here or there. I think people can pretty much tell where the SP's are, numbering them just helps if you have to describe the path. The biggest thing (for me anyway) is a precise starting point, if it has to be precise, and an accurate overall length of activation. I don't squeeze but for people who do starting on the proper note has to be huge.

My chart was the same as yours except your activations were longer and got more notes. It was a good reminder to me that whammy on the short sustain blips can add up.

How fast you whammy has absolutely NOTHING to do with how much SP you get. As long as the note is that glowing blue color, you're getting the same amount of SP no matter what. Try hitting the note a little bit early (but not too early obviously). I think you're making it harder than it needs to be.
