I use 4-4-3-1-2 for a "Can't do the main riff or intro worth crap" path, which I think works pretty well for the less skilled of us

Those who are wondering about the main riff:

I can pretty much fully combo the main riff (except for the insane scale stream, of course). What I do is hold on to red immediately and keep it there. Then play the Y-R and B-R as pulloffs, then play the RY chord. Quickly, I lift up my index finger and slam down my ring finger to play the YB chord, then go back to the index-middle setup for RY. Then the next few notes are easy to hit, and I forgot what they are anyways.

Just thought I'd chip in here. (I apologize for any unreadable/retarded areas; It's 12:20 and I'm falling asleep in my chair.)

I wouldn't consider it quite that hard. But it is tough, I'll give you that. And yes ES, this is now the best song in the game in my mind.

I really like Roll On too.

I am waaaaaaay better at YBYRR-YBYRR than i am at the RY YB RY they are just too close to eachother i am lucky if i hit 1 or 2 of them in the song. ive slowed it down in practice mode, tried strumming, it is just a hopeless case for me.

YBYRR-YBYRR is from Freya right?

I'm pretty sure he's refering to a part in a main riff of cowboys from hell in the first gh that messed up people's combo a lot. I get to it and combo it consistently but I still miss it sometimes cause it's weird strumming and stuff, just like this main riff that I'm having trouble with.

Fill it up and let me be
It's getting late I should've known

I haven't tried this SP path myself, but im still trying to it. My highest score is 200k, a big problem is my SP usage. I think most of you can combo the bits i put in my SP path:

Not exact boxes, but you can see where to use SP. I hope this gets me 5*. For those not using the image, its 2-3-4-3-1(whammy it, then overlap the next phrase of chords)-2

You need to start the first activation earlier in order not to run over the third SP phrase. (It is only 3 measures long on your chart.)

Your second activation will run over the next SP phrase. This isn't that big of a deal, though, since you would have close to a full bar from the three phrases afterward anyway, but you don't indicate it on the chart.

Also, your third activation needs to be moved back to near the beginning of measure 52 in order not to run over the SP phrase in measure 60.

Finally, I would suggest doing the second to last activation immediately, and moving the last activation to measure 104 (as in the optimal path), running over the last SP phrase. Neither of these sections is difficult, and you will get more points under SP.

Im really confused about this now. it says half an SP bar lasts 3 measures. so whats a measure on the chart? i think they're labelled with little red numbers, so i don't know if my chart is wrong or whatever. is there some sort of chart guidethrough? if so can someone send me link or whatever. the search brings up too many random results
