Man, this song would be SO HARD to finish strumming every note. It's really fun to play, but it makes my hand tired. I finally 5* it the other day, hopefully I can keep improving my score
And to the guy who is using just one finger to play it - good luck, I hope you can improve to more than just 3* - because you're playing this song the hardest way it could possibly be played! (well, I guess it would be harder if you tried to play it with your tongue, but you understand my point) |

I strum every note...to me it's just more reliable. I'm going to try that every other note thing though see how that goes. |

SP activation seems pretty simple to me - you activate at the start of every fast section - however, there is one little trick I've found which can net you about another 3-5K points:
On the last "slow" section, there are two GY chords which give SP (right at the beginning). Whammy both of those fully, and you can have an SP activation. Activate that SP pretty much straight after, and you can pick up a little more score on that section. There are another 4 SPs (2 in the slow section, 2 in the fast bit at the end) - activate after the 4th one! |
Here's a better secret.... but I'm going to make it a bit cryptic. Do not active the last full bar of star power right away. Just don't. _________________

Actually if you think about it, for longish HOPO chains strumming is less reliable in a sense because there are more thigns that can go wrong. Consider that in GH2 the window for HOPO registering a note properly and for strumming and hitting a note properly are the same. Consider a chain of HOPO notes: whether you are strumming or not, you will have to get your finger on the correct fret within that window or you will miss that note. If you are HOPOing that then thats all you have to do - if you do it you get the note, if not then you dont. Whereas if you are tryign ot strum the note then even if you get your finger on the right fret within that window you might still miss the note if you strum at the wrong time (ie early so that the game counts it as a different note because your finger is not in place yet, or late so that it does not count your strum as part of that note you are trying to hit and instead applies it to the next note, which you miss). Looked at that way, all you are doing by trying to strum every note is adding an additional (unneeded) step that you can screw up and break your streak. Of course its not really that simple since strumming sometimes can be helpful for keeping your rhythm, and of course it provides a safety net so you miss less notes if/when you do screw up. Thats why every other strumming works well as a sort of compromise i think. |

I am trying to work up my score on this song and my hand gets cramped severely during the outro... I start missing simple chains. I think it's because during the other portions of the song that are like that it varies it a little more with the ryrbro part where I can just keep hammering my pinky on the right notes and give my hand a small rest from sliding up and down the scales. |

Well since nobody else is posting an SP path, I guess I'll post mine tonight.
Here it is... I'll rehost it on imageshack to get the full size (it's too small).
COBW3BB's LTMR Path
EDIT: I got the imageshack one up now. Hope this helps...
EDIT2: I'm not sure if you get more points or not by (I think you do by waiting and using a full bar of SP at measure 137 instead of using two different activations).
EDIT3: I just got 5th with an early last activation!
EDIT3: Yea, you do, so do that instead of what is in my picture. _________________

I think ... now this is tentative ... but I think I'm going to be first once I FC this again.
EDIT: Cobw3bb's path is great but I have a lot of small adjustments and 2 huge adjustments. You're very close to what I'm using. |

Me neither. My first activation was after the first two SP phrases, then my 2nd, 3rd, and 4th activations were on the start of the choruses. That made me end up with 291k.
EDIT: I never activate SP on the verses. _________________

You guys are very close. I'm interested in what DemonixX is cooking though.
Edit: Actually I don't care. Here's my path. Do what you will with it.

Oh and some of the ending points are wrong. _________________
