Definitely no. I skimmed through the rules while signing up at Hot Topic today and after the game is set up players aren't allowed to fuck with any of the settings. Hopefully they have the foresight to calibrate the lag. I also hope we're not forced to use Explorers as our guitar. The Form also points out that they will be using wired controllers. I'm pretty sure wired Les Pauls exist for the demos so I don't think we have to worry about that. |

Yeah, the LP on demo at my local gamestop is wired. That's going to be my biggest issue if I go, on the LP i used, the buttons are a little eh...bouncy?...spongy?... i dunno, just felt a little awkward.. then again I won my first tourney with one of those POS wireless GH2 guitar controllers (the one that if you press the top of the buttons too hard they fall back into the plastic casing? yeah..) so I'm sure I'll live |

It's all expert. The first round everyone plays the same song, two at a time, in pro face-off. The top eight scores move onto the next round which is done in the same manner as the first. Then the person with the highest score gets a useless Hot Topic gift card and is taken into seclusion to play one more song in quick play. That score is saved and compared with the winners from the seven other tournaments. The two highest scorers then go on to the grand finals. |

Sweet a "national" tournament that is out of the reach of people in at least 25 states. |

Would be great, but it's nowhere near Idaho. Nothing ever is. |

I'm unsure whether or not it'd be worth taking the drive on a Monday to the NJ tourney from NYC. Traffic and all. Im gonna think about it over the weekend. |

Just once it would be nice for a games developer to remember there is such a place as Europe |

I'll be at the SF stop.
A one hour drive and a flexible work schedule ftw. _________________
