I'm sure they'd rock if we could figure out what their lyrics mean.
Unfortunately, the translation got lost thousands of years ago, and only scholars maintain the true meaning of Rob Zombie's lyrics in his songs. _________________

is it just me or does zombie's music seem a little repetative? I does the main riff in a lot of them, then it breaks out into some weird improvision, then returns to the main riff...i dunno, seems weird... |

I wouldn't really call it too much of a breakaway...it's just kind of a mild amount of variety.
A couple of songs have the same exact thing goin in them. *cough*YGATC*cough* (not dissing on the song itself, but it's pretty much the same thing up until the solo) _________________

well in heavy metal you're only suppose to really pay attention to the obnnoxious guitar and drums, lyrics dont really matter, (i'm just saying its hard to understand) it's just the style of heavy metal...so i suppose we really shouldn't be nitpicking about him...since he's not really suppose to be payed attention too, but a band isn't a band without a singer. |

Metal lyrics aren't supposed to matter? Priest isn't metal?

Same as any style of music... it's got nothing to do with the genre. You can also take other metal lyrics, put them in a book of "serious" poetry, and have intellectual types splooging all over them. It all depends on the artist, or even the particular song. Just because Rob Zombie writes lyrics using those fridge magnets doesn't mean all metal is like that.
