I don't necessarily know how you'd extract it, but I would just record the music coming out of your speakers.
I'm assuming that you want Graveyard Shift? _________________

YES!!!!!!
I'm doing some experimenting to see how this stuff works
I can get the song name to show on the screen but it freezes when you try to select it......
which means I don't have the file structure understood correctly
Any input from *Andrew/phn0rd* would be nice _________________

I've been wanting to play Graveyard Shift for quite a while now. I hope you can figure out a code for it. You'd be my hero. Good Luck! _________________

would it be a good idea to contact RO or Harmonix and see if they have a way of getting them? _________________

http://www.watto.org/extract/
With this program you can extract any of the files you want from the disc to your hard drive, including the songs (both versions )
Of course you likely can't read or view or play any of the files from there unless you develop your own tools to help you do it. |

If its just for the songs, I can get you them.
If I were to put them up here would I get in trouble for filesharing or what? _________________

I want to play Graveyard Shift as well and I'm glad to see someone working it. We can continue to discuss details and help each other figure things out, but let's not post any any copyrighted material (i.e. GH files) publicly on here.
However, I can not tell you what to do as far as private communication. _________________

How did people find out this song was in the game in the first place? And are there anymore aside from Tripolette? _________________

They found out because it showed up in the list of songs in VGS Player (a tool I highly recommend btw... very cool piece of code). And no, Graveyard and Adv Harmony (*Trippolette) are the only two inaccessible "extras". |

so I've narrowed this down a bit....
I have the right location for the file on the disk.
The song being replaced has to have the same number of characters in the name as graveyard shift.(14)
So I can replace cavemen rejoice or sail your ship by.
The problem I have now is...I don't know the location in the PS2's ram where the song info is stored(name and location).
If anyone has access to the HEX locations for the info on sail your ship by or if you know how to get them please let me know.
I need these:
the first folder, .mid , song name, description, author, and the misc info HEX locations.
they should correlate like this:
2044CD38 s/advharmony/advharmony
2044CD54 s/advharmony/advharmony.mid
205CBAF0 When Andy isn't hacking, he composes at Berklee
205CAD20 Joy
20545760 Andrew Buch
205459D0 *Trippolette
If anyone wants to help, let me know....I want to play this song and I know many of you out there want to too. _________________
