I have a question involving FoF and PS3 guitars

I obviously know that its very simple to use an adapter for PS2 guitars, or a wired Xplorer for Frets on Fire. Well I've been wanting to play customs, so, is there anyway to use a PS3 guitar on FoF? Like, is it compatible?

Strange, I was doing some more looking around and I found the sticky about this kind of thing: http://www.fretsonfire.net/cgi-bin/ikonboard.cgi?act=ST;f=3;t=19917. But when they talk about guitars, they say they all will work, but then only specifically mention PS3 ROCK BAND guitars. Maybe google would be better here. And hey Sean_Taylor.

all i did was plug mine into my usb port and it recognized it and installed it and i was off playing instantly

The receiver is usb, no? Just plug it in and set your controls.
