well first off tommorow the Tigers and White Sox will play a make up game, if the White Sox win, they're in and if they loose, the y play a one game playoff with the Twins. for the purposes of my bracket, i will assume the White Sox make the Playoffs.

NL DIVISION SERIES:

MY PHILADELPHIA PHILLIES DEFEAT
MILWALKEE BREWERS
3 games to 1

CHicago Cubs sweep LA Dodger 3 games to 0

AL
White Sox/Minnesota vs Tampa
Tampa wins series 3-2

Red Sox vs Angels
Angels win 3-1

NLCS
Phillies vs Cubs
(not just cause I'm a fan, but beat them in their season meetings) Phillies win series) 4-2

ALCS
Angels Beat Rays 4-2

World Series
Angels Beat Phillies 4-3

Please respond with any other scenarios /other opinions

Rofl so bad.

It's going to be Dodgers over Cubs, Phillies over Brewers, Angels over Sox, Rays over Twins.

Then Dodgers over Phils, and Angels over Rays

Then Angels over Dodgers.

LA finals lolz

(that coming from a Yankee fan)

To elaborate, the make up game between DET and CWS is at 1:05 CST today, 9/29. However, it is raining pretty hard here in Chi-town, and I don't know if the game will get underway at 1:05, but they can't really postpone a makeup game that determines who makes the playoffs.

Sox win - playoff with MIN tomorrow (Time TBA)
Sox lose - MIN vs TAM

Does anyone believe that the Sox would play a doubleheader tomorrow? Play DET at 1:05 and then have MIN waiting in the wings for a possible game at 7:11 or 8:05?

For those of you who don't know, the White Sox made a deal with 7/11 to have their game time moved back six minutes at the start of the year. Opinions on today?

Brew Crew are taking it all this year!!!!!!!

Holy crap I almost feel bad for Mets fans.........ALMOST. But yesterday was the greatest day of baseball I have ever seen from a fans perspective. Not only did my team clinch a playoff spot for the first time in 26 years, we did it on a complete game from a guy on 3 days rest, and a late game winning home run! Awesome.

We're riding the momentum train all the way to the World Series baby!!!!!!

Wouldn't the following just be the best possible scenario?

World Series:
Dodgers vs. Red Sox
Game 7
Manny Ramirez hits go-ahead homerun in ninth inning against Papelbon.
Dodgers win World Series; Torre gets championship; Red Sox lose in heartbreak fashion at the hands of the player they traded.

So good it HAS to be fattening.

The Los Angeles Mannys aren't going deep at all - they finished 6 games over .500 in an absolutely terrible division. All of the other 3 teams in the NL playoffs are so much more diverse (read: they can all hit and pitch instead of just pitch.)

Brewers over Phillies 3-2 with CC pitching 17 innings in the series, 2ER.

Cubbies over Loldgers 3-1.

Cubbies over Brewers 4-2. CC's arm finally falls out of its socket. Common Sense 1, Abusing your ace pitcher 0.

AL:

Angels over Red Sawx 3-1. I love me the Sawx but they match up horribly against the Angels, moreso on the road. The team has shown a complete inability to hit good pitching, in a short series where the Angels can frontload their rotation. I expect a bunch of 2-1, 3-2 games here.

Tampa over Twins/White Sawx. Neither of these teams really have a shot. The Twins will win one game, Crazy Ozzie's crew will get swept. I hate Ozzie Guillen.

Tampa over Angels 4-3.

WS: Tampa over Cubbies 4-2. After seeing Tampa from the other team's perspective 19 times this year, it's really hard to not pick them. Great young lineup (plus Cliff Floyd), frontline young starting pitching (nobody over the age of 26 started a game for them this year), and what I thought was their weakest aspect (bullpen) has come a long way. Adding David Price into the mix at the end here really isn't fair for the other hitters, heh.

And with regards to the Mets fans, remember Theorem 1986. Nobody should ever feel bad for the Mets, ever.

These are the potential scenarios I would like to see happen:

- Twins win (favorite team)
- failing that, Cubs win (100 year drought)
- failing that, Rays win (I root for small market teams)
- failing that, Brewers win (see above reason)

I would also like to see the Red Sox get eliminated as soon as possible because I hate them.

This is what I predict will end up happening:

ALDS:

Angels over Red Sox 3-1
Rays over Twins 3-2

NLDS:

Cubs over Dodgers 3-0
Brewers over Phillies 3-2

ALCS:

Angels over Rays 4-2

NLCS:

Cubs over Brewers 4-3

World Series:

Angels over Cubs 4-3

I think the Angels and Cubs are the two most complete teams in all of baseball, and the AL home field advantage will decide the series.
