BUT!
when i opened it there is no Guitar hero !!
and at the Control panel and Add or Remove programms there is no GUITAR HERO
i think whit TuneUp i taked Unistall unneedet programms and i taked REMOVE entry?!?!

I have downloaded Windows Installer Clean Up from your link, and i had duitar hero, so i removed it and now i can re-install game. Thanks for this topic, it helped me! |

Hey, I had this problem too, but thought logically and found that there is an AWL.dll file in my DVD of guitar hero world tour, so i copied it to where it should be and voila. No need of these microsoft shit. Don't know if it's the same about gh3 but it should be helpful for ghwt players. |

Years later this post is still saving lives.
My game was first installed on an external drive. I ran into issues when I wanted to port it onto my main drive. I thought I was running the game off the internal, but it seemed that exe was used like a shortcut in some way. The game would not run when my external was unplugged.
Installed windows installer clean up utility from the softpedia site.
It didnt make a shortcut but i grabbed the program from C:Program(x86)/windowsinstalercleanup...
Guitar hero 3 showed up on a the list twice among 17 other programs.
I removed the 2 and am sittin pretty. |
