I was curious about something, and I guess it goes for Rock Band, too.
How many, which songs, are actually cover songs? I heard that Ballroom Blitz was a cover on GH: 80's, and I think the song "The Metal" is covered, too. Are there any other songs that aren't the original recodings/not done by the same band? _________________

I'm too lazy to search it up for you so you'll have to go there yourself. (I'm about to go to bed...) _________________

If you mean which songs on Guitar Hero are covers here's a breakdown.
GH1: Every song is a cover except the bonus tracks
GH2: Every song is a cover except John the Fisherman, Stop! Dead (360), Possum Kingdom (360) and the Bonus Tracks
GH80s: Every song is a cover except I Ran (So Far Away), I Wanna Rock, Because It's Midnite, The Warrior, and Electric Eye
GH3: The Following are covers: Barracuda, Black Magic Woman, Black Sunshine, Cities on Flame with Rock and Roll, Cliffs of Dover, Hit Me with Your Best Shot, Holiday in Cambodia, La Grange, Mississippi Queen, Paranoid, Pride & Joy, Rock and Roll All Nite, Rock You Like a Hurricane, School's Out, The Seeker, Slow Ride, Story of My Life, Sunshine of Your Love, and She Bangs the Drums
GH:A: The Following are Covers: All the Young Dudes, All Day and All of the Night, Personality Crisis, Hard to Handle
The covers stopped at GH:WT. |

You guys don't understand. He talking about covers of covers. Like in 80's, Radar Love, was originally done by Golden Earing, but in 80s its done by white lion, which is a cover, and its a cover in 80s so its a cover of a cover. lol i hope that made sense. _________________

Hmm? I guess that's why it sounded a bit different than another version I heard.
All those are covers?
So every song is a cover in GH (except for WT), but a cover of a cover (which I was talking about; thanks, nikolas1) is a song that another band covered, then the game creaters covered it again?
My head asplode.
What about OT, OT: D, RB, and RB2? _________________

I know for a fact that "You Really Got Me" was a cover of a Kinks song by Van Halen. I'm not so sure about anything else.

"Some Spanish guy" is not really accurate... it was a Mexican folk song. You're probably thinking of Ritchie Valens, but he was American. _________________

Ah, thanks, guys!
Train Kept A Rollin' was covered for both GH AND RB? That's odd. I guess no one likes Tiny Bradshaw (whoever that was). _________________

Thought I'd fix that.
