If you say so...it just seems like there are many, many other bands that might be better for the next focus of the Guitar Hero franchise. Or better yet, Activision could go back to making games that covered ALL genres of music with guitars, like the earlier GH's. Those were epic wins. That way people like me who hate...certain bands could just, you know, not play the songs by that band. With GHA, I played through the game once. Just once. I hate Aerosmith, and the rest of the songs were not fun or challenging. I hope you're right, I hope GH:M is better. _________________

Except that GH:M has possibly the greatest setlist...ever...20+ metallica songs and 20+ songs from bands like Queen, Slayer, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and more. I have no doubt it'll be beyond better than Aerosmith, in terms of difficulty and just plain awesome tunes. I think this will be the first GH/RB game where I've liked every song released, except for maybe something from St. Anger, but it doesn't bother me to play through it once, heh.
And its' not like they aren't doing the normal GH stuff. There will still be another full Guitar Hero game coming out later this year and maybe another in between or after. This year is supposed to have the most GH releases yet. |

I'm not as excited as the rest of y'all.
For one, I think they blew it by making it a stand-alone game rather than just incorporate the songs in to WT. I don't want to have an extra disc to swap in and out to go back and forth between playing Metallica and playing everything else.
Secondly, even though I will buy it, Metallica just doesn't really do it for me anymore. I was a fan way back and I still have my Kill 'em All vinyl record purchased in 1983. But the newer stuff is just crap IMO. The more material this game has from the first 3 albums, the better it will be. _________________

Will most likely get this.
I would LOVE for Dyers Eve to be in this game. That would be FUCKING INSANE on drums. Too bad it'll never happen, or if it does, it'll be dumbed down. _________________

So, is the gameplay going to be based on GH3, or World Tour? Specifically, I am asking about the hammer on pull off's, I understand that all instruments can be used too? What about a setlist and release date? |

I think it's fairly safe to say that from this point on every game released will have World Tour's HO/PO system until Neversoft announces otherwise. That will likely include touch-strip sections as well. _________________
