Just thought some movie discussion would be some fun here. I just saw Observe and Report today; I thought it was pretty fucking hilarious but the story was lacking. The ending just came out of nowhere. I saw I Love You Man and Adventureland last weekend. I Love You Man had a few funny parts and a good story but it wasn't that great overall, I thought it was overrated. And Adventureland was not particularly THAT funny but it had its moments and was a pretty entertaining movie overall.
The movies I'm extremely looking forward to are Angels and Demons and the new Terminator movie. I read Angels and Demons and its easily the best book I have ever read.
So what movies have you seen lately or are looking forward to seeing? |

Recently rewatched films: Double Indemnity, Pulp Fiction, Glengarry Glen Ross, The Big Sleep, Sin City, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
Also I just saw Vertigo for the first time. Anyone else think it sucked? _________________

Vertigo does not in any way, shape, or form suck.
In related news I saw Dial M For Murder for the first time and it was really good. Same for High Plains Drifter but it wasn't as good (still great though). |

I just saw 12 Rounds and it was pretty decent. I would recommend it.
Also I am highly looking forward to Angels and Demons because I loved the book. |

Observe and report was alot better than i thought it was going to be. I havent laughed that hard in a theater sence Zach and Miri and Seth Rogan just makes the movie great.
I also saw another funny movie today Dragonball. it was a "Made for the family" action film that was so bad it was great like the first street fighter movie. _________________

I recently re-watched "A clockwork Orange", which, in my opinion, is the greatest movie ever made. _________________

I saw Adventureland tonight and I must say it was a very good film. It felt like a more "mature comedy" at some points, but still had its over-the-top hilarity moments (like Superbad). I would definitely recommend it to just about anyone _________________

Well, although I've seen them before, I watched the entire Matrix trilogy in a row last night.
I had such deep philosophical thoughts about existence and the mind, that I honestly can remember them. I guess it was just too much information.
Honestly, it was weird.
EDIT: Also, the Fifth Element (AZIZ LIGHT), and the Andromeda Strain are my other two favorites. _________________

The best film I watched was Alien VS Predator 1 (not 2). It's some awesome sci-fi here . Other films I find really good:
-The Scary Movie series >_> ;
-National Treasure 1;
-The Frighteners...
These are all I can remember right now, since I just woke up
Also, do short movies count as films in this thread? _________________

I can't believe all the love for Adventureland im seeing. I found that movie to be incredibly boring. The only funny parts were the ones involving Bill Hayder. I realize it supposed to be more of a college age drama movie but when you advertise it as a new "superbad" type comedy, thats what people are going to expect. _________________
